Enjoying a lovely afternoon on the west coast, Avril Lavigne was spotted out and about in Los Angeles yesterday (May 4).

The “Sk8er Boi” songstress hung out on the rocks overlooking the beach with a friend before hitting up Anat B boutique for some new duds.

In related news, Ms. Lavigne has been selected to represent Canada at the World Expo in China coming up in 2010.  She blogged, “On Friday I was in Vancouver and honored as the Canadian Ambassador for

2010 World Expo, Shanghai, China.”

Avril continued, “It’s really exciting as it’s the first duration China has ever hosted World Expo and the theme is Better City, Better Life. It’s really cool that by 200 countries and worldly organizations are coming together at World Expo, Shanghai to create a better future for the world. I’ve played two shows in Shanghai. It’s a great city and I look forward to visiting again next year.”
