Richard Gere Spends Week with the Dalai Lama

Getting in touch with his spirituality, Richard Gere prayed with fellow Buddhists before the start of teachings by the Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama in Bodh Gaya, India, on Friday (January 8).

The “Pretty Woman” actor has been attending the Dalai Lama’s teachings since the beginning of the week - with the lessons to come to an end on Saturday, January 9th.

to The Press Trust of India, Gere reached Bodh Gaya incognito on Monday via a private vehicle - continuing on to “meet his spiritual guru and exchange greetings with monks.”

As for the Dalai Lama’s five-day teaching session, it was organized on the occasion of the the seven-day Geluk Monlam Puja at Mahabodhi Mahavihara.
