Simon Monjack and Brittany Murphy: Similarly Departed

He passed away just five months after wife Brittany Murphy, and now it is being reported that Simon Monjack died “just like her.”

The 40-year-old British screenwriter died from severe anemia and acute pneumonia - the same causes that killed his “8 Mile” actress wife last December, according to autopsy results.

Brittany’s mother, Sharon, recently issued a statement stating, “It is with great

relief that Simon’s preliminary autopsy findings have been released, so the media speculations can stop. As I was certain of, just like my daughter Brittany, there was no kind of drug overdose.”

According to CNN, Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said prescription drugs were found in Monjack’s system, but not in deadly levels.
